The Federation of Canadian Sichuanese Associates was established in Toronto in 1995. It is a non-profit civil organization registered with government departments. The purpose of the Hometown Association is to connect with hometown, help and love each other, regardless of party affiliation, seek common development, serve the community, and care about hometown. Each activity of the Association of Hometowns attracts Sichuan fellows from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and other parts of the world. At the same time, they are sponsored and supported by people from all walks of life. The activities are highly appreciated by Canadian governments at all levels, the Chinese Consulate in Toronto, and fraternal associations. Pay attention and pay attention.

Over the past two decades since its establishment, the Sichuan Association has experienced changes in the Chinese community. In various activities organized by the Association, fellow villagers gathered together, new friends and old friends, family members, young and old, and Sichuan’s accents, not only sharing life, work and Business information, etc., and care about national affairs, actively encourage and support Chinese participation in politics, especially promote and help our Sichuan fellows to run for seats in Canadian governments at all levels. At the same time, the Hometown Association also warmly received various groups visiting Toronto from their hometown and cooperated with their activities. It also actively participated in the activities organized by units at all levels in Sichuan Province for overseas Chinese and overseas organizations, such as the Overseas Exchange Association, the Haike Association, and Seeking Roots. Brigade and so on. In addition to the various activities held each year, we especially want to mention that after the devastating earthquake in Wenchuan and Ya’an, the disaster relief committee established by the Sichuan Association of Canada and other Sichuanese associations has actively carried out various forms of disaster relief activities. Actively donate money and love to the old folks in the earthquake-stricken area and hometown. The development and growth of the Association is inseparable from the support and help of the fellow villagers. Thanks to your efforts, the Sichuan Association has developed into one of the large Chinese associations in the Toronto area and has won wide acclaim at home and abroad.

The Association will work closely with all walks of life to serve the Sichuan fellows and the vast number of overseas Chinese, and promote the cultural, technological, economic and trade and talent exchanges between Canada and China, especially Sichuan Province, so that the Canadian Sichuan Association will truly become a bridge and link between all parties. Realize common aspirations and create a better future.

The Council of the Association has 25 members and several consultants. The council is held every three years, and the president is democratically elected.
